Troopers ID Young Man Killed In Accident Sunday Morning

Delaware State Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash that occurred early Sunday morning near Farmington.

On July 6, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., a GMC Sierra pickup truck was traveling southbound on Shawnee Road, just south of Breezy Meadow Lane, at what appeared to be a high rate of speed. For reasons still under investigation, the truck veered off the east side of the roadway, striking a tree with the left rear side of the vehicle. The truck then continued south and crashed head-on with a second tree.

The driver, 21-year-old man Nolin Hudson of Greenwood, was not properly restrained at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene police said.

Shawnee Road was partially closed for approximately three and a half hours while members of the Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated the crash and cleared the roadway.
