Photos: Fire Races Through Home Wednesday Afternoon

Firefighters from multiple agencies across New Castle County and southeast Pennsylvania responded to a residential fire on the 1300 block of Quincy Drive in Wilmington’s Green Acres development, shortly after 12:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Dispatchers received several calls reporting a house on fire. The first arriving crews confirmed heavy fire showing from the home. As crews worked to bring the fire under control, firefighters conducted a search of the residence and confirmed that no occupants were inside.

The blaze, that caused significant damage to the structure, was brought under control just before 1:00. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
