Saturday Morning Crash Sends Young Women To Hospital

A section of U.S. Route 13 southbound at Smyrna Leipsic Road was closed early Saturday morning following a serious rollover collision that left one woman injured.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 3:01 a.m. to the intersection of South Dupont Boulevard and Smyrna Leipsic Road in Smyrna for a rollover crash with entrapment.

A woman in her 20s was transported by ambulance to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital with what are believe to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The roadway remained closed while law enforcement investigated the circumstances surrounding the crash and cleared the scene.
