A 30-year-old Georgetown man died in a single-vehicle collision in Delmar on Thursday evening, according to Delaware State Police.

Troopers said the crash occurred on November 13, 2025, at approximately 5:12 p.m. as a GMC Sierra was traveling north on Sussex Highway approaching West Snake Road. The vehicle left the west side of the roadway for reasons still under investigation, crossed the median, and entered the southbound lanes before continuing off the road and striking a tree.

The driver, identified as Jeremy Mitchell of Georgetown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sussex Highway remained closed for about four hours as investigators examined the area and crews worked to clear the roadway.
