Shots Fired Under Investigation In Dover

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in damage to a residence late Friday night in the city of Dover.

According to police, the incident was reported at approximately 11:58 p.m. when officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Cowgill Street for a report of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the resident of the home and secured the scene.

The investigation determined that an unknown suspect fired a weapon, and at least one round struck the residence. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting; however, no injuries were reported.

The incident remains under active investigation.
