Firefighter Injured In Station Accident Wednesday

A firefighter with the Five Points Fire Company was injured Wednesday evening after being struck by a vehicle.

Officials said while the company’s ladder truck was being backed into the fire station the firefighter was hit by a vehicle. Crews immediately provided care at the scene before the firefighter was transported to Christiana Hospital by company EMTs and the New Castle County Paramedics.

Fire company officials reported the firefighter was listed in stable condition and in good spirits following the incident. No additional information regarding the circumstances of the collision or the vehicle involved was released.
