Man Arrives At Hospital During Shooting Investigation

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning.

Police were called to the unit block of South Governors Avenue at approximately 3:55 a.m. on January 12 after reports of shots fired. Responding officers located evidence at the scene indicating that a shooting had taken place.

While officers were conducting the on-scene investigation, a 24-year-old man from Dover arrived at Bayhealth Kent Campus with a gunshot wound to his lower body. Police said two additional individuals were located at the scene and reported that they had been shot at by two unknown suspects. Those individuals were not struck by gunfire and did not report injuries.

No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been announced.
