One Injured In Odessa Commercial Fire

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a commercial structure fire reported Wednesday evening along Dupont Parkway.

At approximately 7:10 p.m. on February 11, 2026, New Castle County Paramedics and multiple fire companies were dispatched to the 3000 block of Dupont Parkway for a reported commercial building fire. Firefighters operated on scene for an extended period while conducting suppression efforts.

A 35-year-old male sustained an extremity injury during fire suppression operations. He was treated at the scene and transported by ambulance from the Delaware City Fire Company to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Additional agencies included the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown, Odessa Fire Company, Port Penn Fire Company, Smyrna Fire Company, Clayton Fire Company, Leipsic Fire Company, and Hartley Fire Company.
