Boys, 12,13,14 Facing Burglary Charges

Three male juveniles have been arrested in connection with a burglary reported in Wilmington.

Police said the incident occurred on March 4 at approximately 5:28 p.m. in the 400 block of North Jefferson Street, when a member of the Uniformed Services Division was flagged down regarding a burglary in progress. Officers responded and conducted a search of the residence, where they located three juvenile males inside who were in possession of property taken from the home. All three juveniles were taken into custody without incident.

A 13-year-old male juvenile has been charged with burglary in the third degree, theft under $1,500, and criminal mischief under $1,000. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $4,500 secured bail.

A 14-year-old male juvenile was found to be wanted on an unrelated matter. In addition to his outstanding charges, he was charged with burglary in the third degree, theft under $1,500, and criminal mischief under $1,000. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $4,500 secured bail.
