A Dover woman is facing multiple felony charges following a crash and subsequent arrest in Felton, according to the Delaware State Police.
Authorities said the incident occurred on April 21, 2026, at approximately 12:15 p.m., when a trooper was flagged down by a motorist reporting that a red vehicle had struck a pole on Main Street. Upon arrival, the trooper located a red Chevrolet HHR that had struck a mailbox and come to rest on a curb near Dundee Road.
The driver, identified as 42-year-old Ashley Green of Dover, was contacted at the scene. Investigators reported that she appeared to be speaking on a phone despite no one being on the line and showed multiple signs of impairment. When directed to exit the vehicle, Green refused and resisted arrest. Police said she continued to resist even after a taser was deployed and allegedly spit on several troopers before being taken into custody.
A records check revealed that Green has four prior DUI-related convictions. She was transported to Troop 3, where she was formally charged and later arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7.
Green was committed to the Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on a $12,003 secured bond. Charges include fifth offense driving under the influence of drugs, resisting arrest with force or violence, four counts of offensive touching involving bodily fluids, and multiple traffic violations related to the crash.
