The Delaware State Police are investigating a murder-suicide that occurred early this morning near Harrington.
Officials said on August 26, 2026, at approximately 3:00 a.m., troopers responded to the 200 block of Whiteleysburg Road near Harrington, for a report of two unresponsive people in a ditch. When troopers arrived, they found a 62-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and a 36-year-old man with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names are being withheld until their families are notified.
The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is actively investigating this incident.
