Reports: Sleeping Man Seriously Injured In Dog Biting Incident

New Castle County – Just before 7:00 this morning State Police, along with New Castle County Paramedics responded to the 600 block of Homestead Road for reports of a man with a dog bite.

Responding crews found a 45-year-old man with serious dog bites to his abdomen and his ankle. Reports from the scene indicate that the man was sleeping when he awoke to find that he was bleeding.

Paramedics found the man with heavy blood loss and requested more manpower from area firefighters, according to the reports. Crews treated the man on scene before he was transported to a local hospital where he is now being treated.
