Wilmington – Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at approximately 7:00 pm on Wednesday December 27, 2017, in the 200 block of N. Madison Street.
Initially, officers were dispatched to the hospital for a shooting victim. The officers spoke with the victim and obtained a location for where the shooting occurred. Officers responded to the area of 2nd and Madison and located the shooting scene.
This afternoon at approximately 4:25 pm Wilmington Police Officers responded to a gas station in 200 block of S. Heald Street for reports of a shooting. At that time no victim was located. Several minutes later, a 36-year-old male victim responded to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his back and leg.
