Multiple Victims Shot In Lower Part Of Delmarva, Two Transported By Air

Accomac, VA – Just after 1:15 this morning Deputies with the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office, along with rescue crews responded to Mary N Smith Road for reports of a person shot.

As medics responded they were advised that one victim was shot in the head near the Mary N Smith Middle School, located at 24577 Mary N Smith Road.

As Deputies were responding to the scene they were advised that an additional gunshot patient had arrived at the hospital by private vehicle.

Upon arrival, medics called for additional medical units to respond, dispatch reporting multiple gunshot victims.

Reports from the scene indicate that two patients were treated at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, in Onancock, VA, before being flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital by separate helicopters, Life Evac 1 and Life Evac 3.

Authorities with the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office identified the two individuals as a 34-year-old and a 33-year-old, both from Parksley, Virginia.
