Reports: Cyclist Possibly Struck By DART Bus In Newark

Newark – The Newark Police Department is currently on scene investigating an accident involving a cyclist that was possible struck by a DART Bus.

Just before 12:40 this afternoon, rescue crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, along with New Castle County Paramedics and officers with the Newark Police Department responded to an accident on Wyoming Road at the Pomeroy Trail.

Early radio reports from the scene indicate that a DART bus struck a cyclist crossing over Wyoming Road traveling along the Pomeroy Trail.  Those reports have not been confirmed

Initial reports indicate one patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
