Holloway Terrace Garage Fire Was Arson Say Investigators

The Delaware Office of the State Fire Marshal has concluded that a garage fire reported yesterday in New Castle, Delaware was deliberately started, according to Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio.

Chionchio said the Holloway Terrace Fire Company was called to the 500 block of West Ave in Holloway Terrace around 9:30 am in reference to a garage on fire. Firefighters arrived on the scene with flames engulfing the detached garage behind a home.

Deputy fire marshals responded to the fire scene and conducted the investigation. The fire was intentionally started inside the garage causing approximately $30,000 in damage, said Chionchio.
