Food Lion to open its newest location in Newark at the end of the month, according to sources.
After years of sitting vacant, the old Super Fresh location in Newark’s Fairfield Shopping Center is being refurbished and will open as a Food Lion.
The opening date has not been officially released by the company but our sources tell us that the new store is set to open on February 27th.
The new shopping carts have been delivered, the signs are going up, and crews are finishing up work on the building.
It’s believed that the store’s staff will start working in the building sometime next week.
