Happening Now: Truck Into A Retention Pond In Middletown

Middletown – Rescue crews from the Volunteer Hose Company of Middletown are responding to Route 301 in near the Maryland state line for a vehicle into a retention pond.

A view from a DelDOT traffic camera shows the truck in the water with Good Samaritans standing by. The driver of the vehicle appears to be hanging out the window uninjured waiting for crews to arrive.

Crews have just arrived on scene and removed the driver. Command has placed the scene under control with ambulance crews evaluating the driver.
