Just before 5:00 this evening rescue crews from the Mill Creek Fire Company along with New Castle County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police responded to 2515 Capitol Trail (Route 2) in front of the Newark Farmers Market for reports of an injury crash.
Early indications from the scene are that two patients were transported via ambulance to Christiana Hospital.
The westbound lanes of Route 2 were closed for approximately an hour with crews worked to clear the scene.
