Threat To Shoot Up Middle School Monday, School Issues Statement

The Delaware State Police are investigating an alleged social media threat to shoot up Skyline Middle School on Monday.

Shortly after being notified of the post the Red Clay School District issued the following statement:

“Dear Skyline Middle School community,

We want to make you aware of an incident regarding a social media threat made against Skyline Middle School. Earlier tonight, we received a report of a social media post that contained a threat against the school.

We immediately contacted the Delaware State Police who are currently investigating the post. We will provide an update as soon as we have more information.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will have an increased police presence on campus tomorrow.

Student and staff safety is our top priority.
