Police: Food Delivery Driver Robbed At Gunpoint, Two Kids Charged

The Dover Police Department arrested two juvenile males following the robbery of a food delivery driver Monday night, according to Public Information Office Sergeant Mark Hoffman.

Hoffman said the driver was making a delivery to the 910 building on Whatcoat Drive when a suspect answered the door with a handgun.

At that time, other suspects took money and food from the driver and closed the door to the apartment. After the driver then notified police, officers were able to identify the 14 and 15-year old suspects. They were taken into custody without incident after locating them during a search of the area, according to Hoffman.

The 14-year-old was released on a $51,000 unsecured bond. The 15-year-old was committed to Stevenson House on a $51,000 secured bond.
