Police Respond To Shots Fired Call, Gunshot Victim Later Connected To Incident

Wilmington Police are investigating what has been determined to have been a shooting incident.

At approximately 1:38 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2800 block of North Claymont Street in reference to a shots fired incident. On Thursday evening, a 31-year-old male gunshot victim arrived at the hospital in stable condition. A subsequent investigation determined that the victim was struck in connection with the earlier incident, police said.

This incident remains under investigation and further details will be released when possible.
