Prices Corner Crash Sends Four People To Hospital Tuesday

Four people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, according to New Castle County Paramedics Assistant PIO Emily Mallon.

Mallon said at approximately 11:20 p.m. New Castle County Paramedics, Cranston Heights Fire Company, Belvedere Fire Company, Minquas Fire Company, and Elsmere Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Newport Gap Pike and Old Capitol Trail in Wilmington for a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, New Castle County Paramedics found one patient that required advanced life support care. A 22-year-old male was in the care of emergency medical technicians. The patient suffered injuries to the chest and leg. The patient was treated on scene and transported to Christiana Hospital via Cranston Heights Fire Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in stable condition at the time of transport. Three additional patients were transported by ambulance to area hospitals with minor injuries.

Delaware State Police is investigating the crash.
