Crime Scene Stretched Over A Mile, At Least Two Shot During Running Gun Battle

Just before 9:00 Tuesday evening Wilmington Police were alerted to a shooting that has just occurred.

Initial reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles were shooting at each other as they traveled between the 2500 block of Northeast Blvd. and the area of 11th and Kirkwood Street.

Early reports indicate that at least two people were shot, possibly more.  Police worked several crime scenes along the route of travel overnight. Investigators had to close the 12th Street Bridge during their investigation due to the number of shell casings found on the span.

Rescue crews responded to several locations for shooting victims, one of which was a vehicle into a utility pole.

We will update this story once authorities release more information.
