Flash Bangs Rock Apartment Complex As SWAT Moves In Sunday

Just after 12:15 Sunday afternoon dozens of New Castle County SWAT members responded to an apartment in the Cavalier Country Club Apartments off of Capano Drive in Newark.

As the officers moved near the apartment two people fled from the area of the apartment. The two fled behind the police vehicles that were blocking off access to the road.

As the two fled large explosions and breaking glass could be heard as SWAT entered the apartment. Shortly after the explosions, members of SWAT started filing out of the building.

It’s not clear what type of incident this is or why the SWAT team was called to the area.

No suspect was seen by our FSU reporter while on scene.

This is a developing story. We will update as soon as County releases additional details.
