Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that sent one of their own to the hospital early Thursday.
Just after midnight, a Trooper was assisting the driver of a disabled vehicle when his patrol vehicle was struck on Capitol Trail in Newark.
The Trooper and the driver of the striking vehicle were transported to the hospital in stable condition according to sources familiar with the accident.
