Two Transported To Hospital After School Bus Crash Tuesday

A motor vehicle accident involving a school bus took place this morning in the Cherokee Woods development in Newark,

According to a witness at the scene, the incident occurred on Cherokee Drive as the bus was navigating through the narrow street lined with parked cars. This resulted in a collision with a parked vehicle. Reports suggest that approximately 12 to 15 children were onboard the bus at the time of the accident.

Emergency services, including the County police and Aetna Hose, Hook, and Ladder, responded to the scene. However, limited information is available regarding the specifics of the accident at this time.

The entrance to Cherokee Woods was blocked for over an hour by a combination of emergency vehicles, including a firetruck, ambulance, police vehicles, and fire police. As a result, residents were unable to enter or exit the development during this period, as confirmed by the witness.

Further details regarding the accident, such as the nature and severity of injuries, are currently unknown. However, initial reports from the scene indicate that two individuals were transported to the hospital, while the remaining students were transferred to another school bus for transportation.
