One Found Dead In Lewes House Fire

Delaware State Fire Marshal investigators have opened an investigation into a fire incident that resulted in substantial damage to a house trailer and left one dead in Lewes Tuesday morning.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio said the fire was first reported at approximately 2:30, in the 33000 block of McNicol Road, in the McNicol Place mobile home community near Savannah Road.

Upon their arrival, firefighters were met with an active and intense fire engulfing the home. One person was found deceased inside the trailer said Chionchio.

As of now, the State fire investigators are actively at the scene, examining the area to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
