The Wilmington Police Department is currently investigating a shooting incident that transpired in the 900 block of Kirkwood Street earlier today at approximately 2:09 p.m.
According to official reports, police officers responded to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 72-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition at present.
