Newark – The Newark City Council has unanimously ratified the purchase and sale agreement of the Rodney Dormitory parcel, according to a Tweet sent out by the city’s social media staff.
In another tweet the staff announced that the council has approved an early retirement compensation for the City Manager. After coming out of executive session Councilman Stu Markham made a motion to amend the city manager’s agreement to read
Should the city manger resign upon a sixty days notice effective between May 15, 2017 and June 15, 2017 the city agrees that she shall be entitled to separation pay as set fourth in section 3B of her employee agreement.
Prompted by the Mayor Polly Sierer, Councilwoman Jennifer Wallace made a second motion regarding the City Manager, Carol Houck’s, early retirement agreement.
