Two Men Shot Thursday Evening In Kent County, One Fatally

Dover Police detectives are currently investigating a fatal shooting incident that occurred Thursday evening on Ann Avenue

Initial reports indicate that two individuals sustained gunshot wounds to their upper bodies. The first victim, a 42-year-old Dover man, succumbed to his injuries at Bayhealth Kent Campus after reportedly suffering multiple gunshot wounds. The second victim, a 59-year-old man also from Dover, is currently in stable condition at the same medical facility.

Officials said the Dover Police Department was alerted to the shooting around 8:45 p.m. Upon their arrival at the scene, officers discovered both victims suffering gunshot wounds. The identity of the deceased is being withheld until the family is notified.

The investigation is ongoing with no clear leads or suspect descriptions available police said Friday.
