Millville Fire Traps One Saturday

On Saturday afternoon at approximately 12:45 PM, emergency crews responded to a mobile home fire in the 35000 block of Bethany Crest Lane in Millville. Fire departments from Millville, Frankford, Dagsboro, Roxana, and Bethany, along with Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported one person trapped inside the mobile home while another occupant had managed to escape the blaze before the arrival of emergency personnel. Smoke was visible from the structure as crews quickly entered to conduct a rescue operation.

Firefighters located the trapped individual and extricated them through a side door. Medical teams on site immediately began treating the rescued individual. The specific nature of the injuries sustained by the occupants and whether anyone was transported to the hospital has not been disclosed by officials.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office has initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
