Two Victims, 17 And 68 Found Shot Wednesday

Wilmington Police are actively investigating a broad daylight shooting incident that occurred at approximately 3:54 p.m. on the 1000 block of Brown Street. The incident left two individuals injured by gunfire.

Responding officers found a 17-year-old male and a 68-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were transported to a local hospital and are currently reported to be in stable condition.

Preliminary reports suggest that the teen was shot at least once in a lower extremity, though it remains unclear if he sustained multiple wounds. The 68-year-old male reportedly suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Officials said further details will be released as they become available.
