Seaford Man Convicted In Rape Of 12-Year-Old

Fidel Chamorro-Ramirez, a 19-year-old resident of Seaford has been convicted of second-degree rape following the assault of a 12-year-old child in 2023.

The verdict was delivered in Sussex County Superior Court last month, bring the case to an end. 18-years- old at the time of the offense, Chamorro-Ramirez now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and the potential for up to 25 years behind bars.

Chamorro-Ramirez, who has been in custody since November of last year will be sentenced early next month.
