The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit is conducting a death investigation in Frankford after a woman was found dead Monday.
Officials said on June 30, 2025, at approximately 2:26 p.m., troopers responded to the 34000 block of Zion Church Road in Frankford to check the welfare of a 37-year-old woman after she had not been contacted for several days.
When troopers arrived, they found Jessica Thompson suffering from an apparent fatal gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Due to the nature of the incident, the Delaware State Police Homicide Unit assumed the investigation police said. Detectives believe there is no threat to public safety.
