A homicide investigation is underway in New Castle County following a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the area of Wilton Boulevard and Stonebridge Boulevard.
At approximately 3:58 p.m. on July 22, 2025, officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the area for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, believed to be in his 20s ,suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased despite efforts by emergency medical personnel.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit and Evidence Detection Unit responded to the scene and have assumed responsibility for the investigation. Authorities confirmed the case remains active and ongoing, with further updates expected as additional information becomes available.
