Teen, 16 Charged With Armed Robbery

Wilmington Police have taken a 16-year-old male into custody in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month.

The incident took place on July 11 around 9 p.m. in the 1200 block of C Street. Following the report, the case was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, where detectives identified the juvenile as a suspect according to authorities. He was apprehended without incident on July 22.

The teenager has been charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and aggravated menacing. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $45,000 cash bail.
