LEWES — The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) will permanently close Devon Road at Mill Pond Acres beginning the night of Tuesday, September 2, 2025, as part of Phase 2C of the SR 1 Minos Conaway Road project.
The closure will take effect when the contractor installs a pinned barrier wall for Phase 2C. According to DelDOT, the change is intended to improve safety, eliminate crossover access from SR 1, and support clearing and grubbing operations for the next stage of construction.
No local detour will be in place. Motorists should plan to use alternate routes.
