Man Succumbs To Injuries Suffered In August Incident

Wilmington Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting that occurred on August 11 in the 500 block of West 9th Street.

Officers responding to the incident at approximately 6:10 p.m. located a 32-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Officials said that on September 17, the victim, identified as 32-year-old Lee Morr Harris, succumbed to injuries sustained during the incident. The Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences determined that his death was the direct result of the wounds he suffered in the shooting.

Detectives are seeking assistance from the community to gather further information that may help advance the case.
