Wilmington Man Charged In Dover Shooting

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a late-night shooting that damaged an occupied home in Dover last year.

According to the Dover Police Department, the incident occurred on November 28, 2025, at approximately 11:58 p.m. in the 400 block of Cowgill Street. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and made contact with the homeowner, determining that multiple rounds had struck the residence while it was occupied. No injuries were reported.

Following a months-long investigation, detectives identified Malik Isabell, 19, of Wilmington, as the suspect. He was taken into custody without incident on April 14, 2026.

Authorities said Isabell was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, reckless endangering in the first degree, three counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, and four counts of criminal mischief. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $96,000 cash bond.
