Two Injured In Tuesday Crash

Officials said two women were injured Tuesday night in a crash with entrapment at Route 7 and Stanton Christiana Road.

New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched at approximately 9:55 p.m. with Mill Creek Fire Company, Minquas Fire Company of Newport, and Christiana Fire Company after reports that two people were trapped.

Paramedics found a 45-year-old woman trapped in a vehicle for more than 10 minutes before she was extricated by rescue personnel. She was treated for torso injuries and suspected internal injuries before being transported to Christiana Hospital by Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. She was listed in critical condition at the time of transport.

A 24-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was also treated at the scene before being transported to Christiana Hospital by Mill Creek Fire Company ambulance, accompanied by paramedics. She was listed in stable condition.

Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
