Delaware State Police have arrested a Wilmington man in connection with two convenience store robberies in New Castle County earlier this month.
Michael Reynolds, 56, of Wilmington, was charged after investigators said he was linked to robberies at a Shore Stop in Newark on May 3 and a Shell gas station in New Castle on May 4.
Police said the first robbery happened at about 8:15 p.m. at the Shore Stop at 796 South Old Baltimore Pike. A masked suspect armed with a knife entered the store, demanded money from the clerk, and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported.

The second robbery happened the following evening at about 7:30 p.m. at the Shell gas station at 3001 New Castle Avenue. Police said a man armed with a knife approached two clerks, demanded money, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash before driving away in a white Ford Taurus.
Troopers later located the vehicle in Wilmington and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver fled, leading to a brief pursuit. Police said the vehicle was later found abandoned near Wilson Street and East 13th Street.
Detectives identified Reynolds as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Police said Reynolds was also linked to additional incidents under investigation by the New Castle County Police Department and Wilmington Police Department during the same timeframe.
On May 15, Reynolds, who was already in Wilmington Police custody, was charged with three counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, disregarding a police officer’s signal, and traffic violations.
He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the Delaware Department of Correction on a $420,000 cash bond.
