Milford – On May 7, 2017 at 4:09 a.m., Milford Police Department Criminal Investigations Division responded to an alleged sexual assault that had just occurred at the Days Inn, located at 699 N DuPont Blvd. in Milford, according to Milford Police Spokesman Det. Timothy Maloney.
Maloney said police learned that the sexual assault occurred in the kitchen area of the hotel. Further investigation identified Justin Fletcher, 19 of Milford DE, as the suspect in this case, Maloney added.
Maloney said that on May 5, 2017, contact was made with Fletcher and he was charged with Rape 2nd Degree Without Consent and Rape 4th Degree Sexual Penetration of Another Person Without Consent. Fletcher was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $70,000 USC secured bail. Fletcher was given a no contact order with the victim and the Days Inn. Fletcher was given a preliminary hearing date of May 19, 2017 at the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
