Middletown, DE – Shortly before 4:00 p.m.on Sunday, Middletown fire crews responded to a house fire in the 500 block of Whispering Trail. Officials believe that thunderstorms in area caused the home to be struck by lightning.
The fire caused extensive damage to the home. The residents of the home were not injured.
