Newark CVS Robbed In Broad Daylight

Newark Delaware State Police said on Friday, August 26, 2016, at approximately 8:45 a.m., as a male suspect entered the CVS, located at 366 East Chestnut Hill Road, Newark. The suspect approached the sales counter and confronted a male clerk and patron and demanded money from the cash registers, police said.

The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect then exited the store and ran in a westbound direction. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male in his twenties approximately 5’07” to 5’10” tall, weighed approximately 150 lbs., with his face covered wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
