Ocean City Bank Robbed In Broad Daylight

OCEAN CITY, MD – Ocean City Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred at the Bank of Ocean City, located on 12109 Coastal Highway.  The robbery took place at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, August 24, according to police.

According to bank tellers, the suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the tellers, threatening two employees at gunpoint.  The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the suspect is described as a light skinned or African American male in his late 20’s or early 30’s with a medium build. He is approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a floppy or “bucket” hat and a fake beard, a beige jumpsuit and was holding a white package.  After robbing the bank, it is believed that the suspect traveled south on Coastal Highway on foot.

Police advise citizens that the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
