Police: Woman Hit Boyfriend With Car At Donut Shop

According to Dover Police Department, 25-year-old  Jacqueline Kennedy, of Dover, struck her boyfriend with a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said Kennedy pulled along side of the boyfriend, as he was walking in Dunkin Donuts parking lot, at 470 S. DuPont Highway.

Police said that the two began to argue and when the boyfriend told Kennedy to leave, she drove away, but turned around and drove toward the victim, striking him with the front driver side of the vehicle.

The victim (31), was being treated for internal injuries and wounds from the incident at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and was in stable condition, officials said.

Kennedy was charged with Assault 1st Degree,  Leaving the Scene of a Collision Resulting in Injury, Driving While Suspended and Failure to Report Collision Resulting in Injury/Death. Kennedy was released on $22,050 unsecured bond.
