Verizon Robbed At Gunpoint

NewarkDelaware State Police said at approximately 10:05 a.m. on Saturday September 10, 2016, as a man armed with an handgun entered the verison-robbedVerizon Wireless store located at 1209 Churchmans Road.

The man approached the store clerk , who was in an inventory room at the rear of the store and demanded money from the safe, police said.

Police said that the victim complied and the suspect removed an unknown amount of cash from the safe before fleeing out a rear door in an unknown direction.  There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male, 6’01” tall, 160 lbs., wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans, with a mask covering his face (No further physical or clothing description).  Armed with an unknown type handgun and a pocket knife.
