Hockessin Store Robbed Saturday

HockessinTroopers are investigating the robbery of a Hockessin area liquor store that occurred this past weekend, according to Public Information Sergeant Richard D. Bratz.

Bratz said that at approximately 10:04 p.m. Saturday night October 1, 2016 as troopers were called to the Westgate Liquors located at 4115 Newport Gap Pike, in Hockessin, in reference to a robbery.

The suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded money from the cash registers, said Bratz. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot in a south direction across Newport Gap Pike. The two clerks were not injured.

The suspect was described as a white male with a thin build wearing a dark shirt and shorts with his face covered armed with a large knife.
