Newark Gas Station Robbed Overnight

 

NewarkDelaware State Police are currently investigating the armed robbery of a Newark area Exxon Gas Station that occurred early this morning, according to Public Information Sergeant Richard D. Bratz.

Bratz said that at approximately 12:25 a.m. on Tuesday, October 04, 2016, a male suspect entered the Exxon gas station located at 263 East Chestnut Hill Road, in Newark, armed with gun.

The man confronted a male employee of the business and demanded money from the cash registers, said Bratz. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of money to him. The suspect fled from the business across Rt. 72. There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male. Approximately 5’09”-6’00” tall, weighed 170-190 lbs., with his face covered. There is no further physical or clothing description available.
